The Law School is committed to fostering and developing the teaching capacity of its academic staff. All staff are committed to ensuring that their lectures and seminars actively contribute to the student learning experience: enriching and deepening students’ understanding of the law.
Teaching innovation and excellence are fostered in the Law School through:
- Orientation and induction of academic staff
- Online resources for teaching staff
- Collaborative teaching practices in compulsory subjects
- Teaching seminars
- Peer review of teaching
- Regular review and evaluation
Teaching practices in the Law School are reviewed by students in all subjects through the University’s Quality of Teaching surveys. Many Law lecturers also administer tailored feedback surveys during semester, enabling students’ concerns to be identified and addressed in a timely manner. Complementing the feedback received from students, staff can voluntarily participate in a peer review of teaching program.
